The book is the result of 20 years of teaching wheelchair mobility and related issues at institutions such as Northeastern University, Boston University, Simmons College, Massachusetts General Hospital, Notre Dame College, University of New Hampshire, and a host of others. The handbook is a recently published work (September 1998) and is just now available for instruction in this area.
Contained in this site are several actual excerpts of the handbook for your perusal. We know you will find this to be a common sense approach to wheelchair use, written in clear and easy to understand language. You will also see a sample of the photos used to accurately illustrate the text.
